[He doesn't say anything but instead silently dismounts, offering his flaming torch to Peter.]

[Peter responds to Caspian's kindness by flicking the flashlight on and off, before dismounting and directing the beam towards the holes.]

[He doesn't finish his sentence, choosing instead to peer down the cliff.]

[He doesn't seem to care whether Peter took the torch or not, but they're fortunate the ground here is all rock and dirt or else there'd be a fire now.]

[Answering distractedly as he faces a hole fitting to his own form. It's pitch black inside, or is it?]

[He's busy examining a random hole, before noticing Caspian getting all friendly with another.]

[It's a spur of the moment thought, and he doesn't notice it comes out as a command.]

[Peter grabs for Caspian's shoulder, totally perplexed at the idea that Caspian actually wants to head for the hole.]

[His hand lashes out at Peter's to grab and twist, then attempt to shove him aside. The musical pitches are more shrill, reflecting the tension.]

[Is too busy being indignant to notice the change in music. Peter uses his other free hand to grab at Caspian's, hoping to take Caspian down with him if he does fall.]

[They both go down, kicking up dust and dirt, and further rolling could easily take them over the ledge. Rather than roll though Caspian chooses to punch Peter first.]

[A punch obviously deserves a retaliatory punch back. Peter's considering pulling out Rhindon, but first attempts to shake off Caspian and stand.]

[His head snaps back without the ground to catch his skull, losing his balance and briefly rolling off Peter.]

[takes the opportunity to stand and pull out Rhindon.]

[Out comes his own sword without a name. One of these days he should name it.]

[Higgles is a good, strong name. Stands his ground, but now has a look of angry confusion.]

[On his guard, muscles tense.]

[Peter was hoping to solve this in a nonviolent fashion, but it looks like the easiest way to calm Caspian down is by knocking him out. He gets ready, hoping to hit Caspian with the blunt side of of his sword.]

[He twirls the sword in his hand, blade pointed down to parry and follow up with a hilt to Peter's face, but it clashes only with Rhindon and Caspian stops. Midnight passes.]

[doesn't notice Caspian stopped, and takes the opportunity to disarm him.]

[His wrist twists painfully with the movement, taking Caspian down to one knee and successfully disarming him.]

[Peter runs his free hand through his hair as he thinks.]

[Rubbing his temple and getting to his feet.]

[He's thinking about asking if Caspian's alright, but decides against it for now.]
