Well.

Friends of Peter Pevensie we--Lucy Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Reepicheep, and myself--invite you to celebrate his birthday at The Blue Light on the Tenth of August in the seventh hour after noon. A gift is not required but enjoying yourself is!

There will be food.

There will be drink.

There may be dance.

This is a surprise celebration so we would appreciate it if you say not a word to Peter until arrival. After that we encourage you to wish him well! Let's make it a party worth talking about for years to come.

I haven't had time to in the past year. But yeah, I danced at my brother's wedding. You sort of have to, don't you?

I have no siblings to speak of experience but that sounds proper.

I've got six older brothers. I suppose I'll dance at all their weddings.

If I had a younger sister I don't think my wedding would be complete without her dancing happily.

Almost a year for my second time. I was here for my first last summer, in June.

Yes. I left in November...it may have been late in October. I spent nearly a year in Narnia again before my return last fall.

I haven't gone home yet. My friend Hermione has, but I've been here since December and that's it.

Neither have Susan or Lucy I believe. Fortunately Peter and I didn't leave them alone for long.

It's not too unusual, is it? My brother Ron's been here for nearly two years, I think.

I have known some who have been here for that long too. At least you have family here, isn't that comforting?

I had two more brothers here, but they've gone. There're quite a few people from my world, actually—but it's the same for you too.

I think that's something we can all be grateful for. Even if it may be selfish to want someone taken from your world and brought to this one. Home is where our closest friends and family are.

I know what you mean. I want my brothers to get back here, but I know they've got to stay home for—well, whatever happens. Sometimes I think it's safer here, you know?

I believe where we go and what we take back with us has a purpose. When we learn what that purpose is, if we learn it at all, we can't say, but it is something in which we can put our faith. If we are meant to be in this world because it is safer then I welcome making my place here.

Of course it is certainly easier to not have to do it alone.
