treadingdawn: (worry not my friend)
[personal profile] treadingdawn
I hope everyone is doing better now after the past few days, enough to hear my thank you for wonderful gifts and a cheerful time this Christmas. I appreciate having the opportunity to celebrate it in a place that's become a home away from home. The occasion would not be the same without family or friends and I look forward to the coming new year, all it may bring us, with the hope of next Christmas being just as fulfilling as this one was.

I see.

What's the difference then---what is it like in your world?

Well, in my world there are people who may consider those younger than themselves like children but children also have the ability to accomplish great things, and for those great things they are fairly recognized, regardless of any age.

That seems fairer than judging by years alone, considering that looks can be misleading to begin with.

[ pause ]

Anyway, it is good to see that someone seems happy here, that it is...a possibility.

I think it is fairer too.

[Wondering what she means by that but choosing to ask a question instead.]

How have you been, Yvaine?

Tired. I'm waking up earlier and earlier. Just today I was up before the sun even set. But it's quite as similar as being elsewhere, though watching through the network is quite different than watching from the sky.

The conclusion is the same: sleeping patterns pale next to the majority of conflicts, and those are just the ones we see of course.

How it can be so loud and quiet all at once, however, is something I've...honestly never experienced before.

Is it bad for your health to wake up earlier and earlier?

Possibly bad for the health of others.

Aren't people generally less pleasant when they haven't gotten enough rest?

Stars, in this case, would be no different.

Are you saying you wake up earlier and earlier but do not go to sleep any earlier?

Well that is good...I think.

You probably do not need to try coffee then.
