treadingdawn: (across the universe)

It seems there are many occasions today: Valentine's Day, the Lunar New Year, and the arrival of old friends.

I know which ones I will be celebrating.

[ooc: Requesting you don't tell him he's fiction or any spoilers past Prince Caspian. No doubles please!]

Of course a sword has use there. Even during peacetime we bear arms as a symbol of our readiness to serve and protect.

Then it is a place I could safely go, and be of use, should a King need a sword.

Are you a practiced swordswoman?

You...are the sword?

[Wrapping mind around this.]

...Do you know anyone by the name of Rhindon?

I am the sword. The King who holds me rules Albion by right, and as long as I am worn at his side he will not fall in battle.

I do not know Rhindon. Is it a sword?

You do not look like a sword.

And yes, Rhindon is the sword of the High King.

No. When I walk, I do not look like a sword.

I have never met Rhindon, although if they walk, then I may. But a sword with a master will not walk.

I didn't know that about swords, well at least swords in your world.

Only a king's sword may walk.

Arthur did not know, either.

That would definitely include Rhindon.

And Rhindon is at it's master's right hand? What reason would a sword walk, with such glory as that?

I don't know if it's appropriate to say Rhindon has a true master, only a true duty.

All swords are different.

Well you have proven that.

Thank you, King Caspian.
