Just one thing? I like my castle! ...And my tree, and my garden, and I like visiting Ifnkovhgroghprm 'cause he tells me stories, and I like the king of the leprechauns, too. Can I have more than one favorite?

He's a gnome. He's been friends with my daddy for a really long time, and he made me a marionette for my birthday! He showed me how to make it dance and everything.

Oh, like the wooden puppets on strings? I never learned how to make one dance, but they are very handsome.

Uh-huh! He makes them. Mine had a little red hat and shoes with curled-up toes.

It was a man then? I had a dragon puppet once.

Uh-huh! Mine was a little man. Was your puppet really scary? Dragons are really scary, unless you throw water on their snout and put their fire out. Then they're not scary at all anymore.

I didn't say you're afraid of them! It only makes sense that girls do not see them as appealing as boys do.

Of course not. You never hear about dragons going around kidnapping princes. They only kidnap princesses, so of course girls don't like them. But I don't see why anybody would like them at all, boy or girl. They're big and mean and scaly.

I wonder why that is...why do dragons not have an appetite for boys...

Maybe it's because girls are prettier.

And dragons like pretty things. That's why they hoard gold and treasures. So I guess they'd want to eat pretty things, too.

'Cause it's magic. King Edward gave it away and Daddy had to go get it back so he could be king.

I don't think my father or father's father had to do such a thing to be king. What might you have to do to become queen?

It was a quest. Daddy was King Edward's best knight and King Edward said if Daddy got back our three treasures then he would get to be king. 'Cause King Edward was really sick and he didn't have any heirs. So Daddy went and found all the treasures and brought them back and then King Edward made him king before he died.

And my daddy won't ever give away our treasures, so nobody will ever have to go get them back again.

Uh-huh. I wish it worked, though, but it doesn't. It's all cloudy and doesn't show anything.
