Okay, so you know how you probably have all these traditions and things that extend back long ways, all through your family? Well pop culture is the opposite of that. It exists now. Like television or movies or even certain books.

Like the way I speak, most of the time, that's a kind of pop culture, slang.

Long time ago, like, before the Christians came to Ireland, there were a bunch of royal houses; Concobhar in Ulster, Mebd and Ailill in Cruachan, lots of others, but those are the two important ones.

There was a great war, a raid for the Brown Bull of Cúailnge, that was owned by the house of the King of Ulster.

Me fam comes down a line of poetesses back from Fedelm, the Prophetess who told Mebd that it was tough shit, her fucking troops would kick it back in Ulster.

Well Mebd didn't listen and Cu Culainn, who's like the great hero of Ireland, he fucked up everyone and killed off half the army and Mebd and Ailill basically got fucked. There were more kings, but the shite happened to Ireland, and the Sid mounds closed, and the kings died off, and Connacht hasn't had a proper king or queen to rule the mound at Cruachan in a good five hundred years, at least.

But me fam is still there.
