You see-- that's complicated. The particular area where Zachary comes from, someone so young is not allowed to consume alcoholic drinks. And whether or not I agree with it, and I generally don't, he still shouldn't--

Wherever Zach is, his mother is still in Texas, and a young boy should never do something that he wouldn't be allowed to do in his mother's house.

Well, yes. And no. I mean, it's a criminal law, but it's not necessarily something that's going to make a criminal of him. Still, someone ought to...go and...voice some general disapproval in lieu of his parents.

You can drink with him. Not that it's my place to give permission. Rather, avoid drinking fermented beverages with him for his own sake?

Far from a tutor, I think he secretly doesn't like me much. I apparently just enjoy humiliating myself in front of near-strangers.

Noting your background, if you drink with him again, I just want you to trust your instincts before his. Doubtful he knows when enough is enough.
