Let it be known.

I, Caspian X, have accomplished a feat that many doubted could be accomplished by my hand at all.

It required two and a half days of my time.

This victory calls for a celebration.

Doctor House, I request your audience with the Pevensies and myself to mark this momentous occasion. If you are so inclined, perhaps you will bring with you tacos and taquitos. I am more than willing to make tamales however I regret to inform you that we do not have anymore carnitas. Will pollo con chile verde suffice? I hope that does not disappoint you. Do not worry, there will be enough ice cold horchata for both you and Eden. And the centerpiece? A piñata in your likeness.

But I understand you have a particular lameness and may not complete the journey to our fiesta. In that case, I hope you accept the gift I had delivered to you late this morning. Enjoy it, mi hombre.

And in the end the result is the same, is it not? If it provides you the same amount of satisfaction to have completed the puzzle in this fashion, then I don't see why it hasn't been solved.

Of course, if you don't get that satisfaction out of solving the puzzle that way, then the solving at all was irrelevant.

Was it a contest?

You could have been closer to winning.

Although if it was the act of completion that also made you satisfied, then winning this way would feel as if you were cheating yourself, yes.

It was both, and while a King of Narnia may fight dirty, we do not resort to treachery.

I never suggested lying about how you solved it. The important part of my suggested solution isn't the manual part, of course.

It's how to convince the rest of the world that your solution is valid.

Are you a con man, Doctor?

As a general rule I approve of moral forthrightness in the deepest sense.

But there is nothing wrong with, every once in a while, violating a few expectations.

You are very good at convincing me.
