Let it be known.

I, Caspian X, have accomplished a feat that many doubted could be accomplished by my hand at all.

It required two and a half days of my time.

This victory calls for a celebration.

Doctor House, I request your audience with the Pevensies and myself to mark this momentous occasion. If you are so inclined, perhaps you will bring with you tacos and taquitos. I am more than willing to make tamales however I regret to inform you that we do not have anymore carnitas. Will pollo con chile verde suffice? I hope that does not disappoint you. Do not worry, there will be enough ice cold horchata for both you and Eden. And the centerpiece? A piñata in your likeness.

But I understand you have a particular lameness and may not complete the journey to our fiesta. In that case, I hope you accept the gift I had delivered to you late this morning. Enjoy it, mi hombre.

[Oh yeah he's totally laughing because Caspian is pleased with his own ninja skills.]

It isn't bad at all.

You should have asked.

[Scowly scowl.]

Of course it's good.

Fine. May I have another, Peter?

[Polite and civil request is polite and civil.]

Yes, you may.

[He brings to cone back down. Better watch yourself, Caspian. Don't mess up the cone.]

[He takes a permitted lick, slow and savoring, not messing the cone up gaw'.]

Take the cone, Caspian.

[He says in a low voice. Awkward awkward situation, and it's in public! Or maybe Peter's over thinking the situation.]

[Overthinking it but Caspian wouldn't object to his overthinking. Nevertheless he takes the cone. Boy King now has two cones to his name. He licks off the mint.]

[Peter just stands there, tapping his foot. Sure he said take the cone, but he still wants one back. Sharing is caring.]

[He leans in, being taller and all, but just when it seems like he might steal a chaste peck he offers the mint cone to Peter.]

Here.

[Peter might have objected to that in public! But he takes the mint cone, with a slightly questioning glance.]

Why mint?

[Why the mint cone, or why did you choose mint? Maybe it's both questions. Green is not an acceptable answer.]

It looked interesting, and it was green.

[Sorry Peter, you knew he was going to go there anyway.]

That's your reasoning?

[Have a doubting stare over the top of the ice cream cone. Peter's got his lips on the top of a scoop, but he's not eating just yet. This cone has cooties.]

Why vanilla?

[Challenging Peter to answer his own type of question. Oh come on, schoolboy. Cooties? Really?]

It's plain, and not overly sweet.

[He says as if it's plain knowledge. Cooties.]

A comfort food?

[Caspian asks casually while helping himself to said plain and not overly sweet scoop.]

It could be considered a comfort food, but I don't find it particularly comforting. It's good on occasion, though.

[Finally taking a tentative lick of mint.]

It's not bad.

And this occasion?

[Lick of vanilla. Hah mint is awesome!]

I told you.

The cube? There's no real occasion this time.

[Lick. Vanilla's still better.]

Should I make it an occasion?

[Don't make him get metaphorical, vanilla bean.]

From: [identity profile] lionrampante.livejournal.com
How?

[Quiet, greenie. God, there are no good comebacks with mint.]

Date: 2008-09-04 04:53 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com
[That's because mint > vanilla, hands down. Caspian's scrutinizing the cones, like he can magically make each one a scoop of vanilla and mint.]

Combining the two would be an experience.

[No sorry, not even King Caspian the Super Fine can accomplish that.]

Date: 2008-09-04 04:58 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lionrampante.livejournal.com
It would be messy.

[Caspian, the Freshmaker?]

From: [identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com
[Shut up, Peter. Lick lick. There's no clean side on this cone now.]

Well it's a plan for next time.

[He offers the vanilla cone back.]

From: [identity profile] lionrampante.livejournal.com
[Peter accepts it! He considers dumping the top scoop onto Caspian's cone, but eh. He offers the mint back.]

I'll remember to tell them next time.

From: [identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com
[Accepting the mint back with a smile. He likes it best, but vanilla's okay.]
