A good friend of mine is seeking someone with which to tilt, as she refuses to tilt me. But I am sure a demonstration would ease her concern.

She's interested in the sport but has never participated. I do not wish to blindside her, especially when she doesn't have a capable horse. Do you?

I haven't maintained a horse in quite some time, much less one bred for tourneys. The sport is almost extinct in the time and place I come from.

Hardly. I was illegitimate. My father's ambitions to declare me his heir ahead of my sisters born in wedlock were thwarted by the parliament and my untimely death.

So noted. Perhaps you will keep me informed of the progress of your search. While I have little doubt that I can handle a horse and lance well enough for your purposes, you'd find that tilting with me isn't what you're accustomed to.
