They're mechanical suits... for battle? They're huge- At least, compared to people, and they're piloted and outfitted with weapons.
Shen Hu is Xing-ke's... the higher generation models get very advanced...

Xing-ke does that, too. But... all of the main powers in our world use Knightmare Frames, and so to compete... swords don't really match.
