They're supposed to be like that. Heavy cotton isn't the most comfortable wear in the summer.
That may be true, but that won't keep them from any treachery. Besides, there are so many other people here, losing one or two wouldn't make much of a different to them. I'm sure there's another way we could find out more about them.
