I would not ask you to trust me, Caspian. Trust is a thing which must be earned, after all.

But I will say this: Sirius Black and I are, in our world, the very same age. We were schoolmates. This City's magic alone is what causes us to be so vastly different. We were not friends, though his brother and I were.
