I wouldn't mind entertaining company today.

And if you could provide a recommendation for a good 'dry cleaner' that would be appreciated too.

[ooc: Out and about, ready to be kissed. He is forced open to kissing just about anything. Also location in the entry title will change as he roams!]

Romeo blushes and averts his eyes, trying to explain himself nonetheless.

"I-I haven't gone home to proper wash myself and rest in last two days. I was eager to finish this before the eve of this Christmas day."

Eyes of a hawk. There isn't a mistletoe yet.

"Have you been well? After Sir Peter's victory!"

In days? Caspian doesn't voice his concern for Romeo's hygienic health in that case.

"I think you work will certainly be worth it in the end. It's a very nice building," he nods with a smile. "And I have been well, all of us have."

He continues to walk beside Romeo, looking around the area. "What do you plan to grow here?"

After his father sent him to work in a sweaty mine for months during his exile, Romeo's aristocratic habits became less needy.

"I thank my good friend the king Ambrose for any fair design," he told Caspian. "Myself I wanted to grow irises and roses. But I hope the citizens would be interested in working in their own sections."

He stopped, knocking the walls softly with his knuckles.

"I didn't want to build this for me exclusively. I sought to share a mutual ground for those who want or need to grow their own meals or blossoms and the seasons don't allow them to."

He glances to Romeo's knocking motion and considers a thought. While Caspian is no green thumb he does appreciate flowers and plants and other things that bring color and life to stone castle walls.

"Would you grow carnations?"

"If Caspian helps me with the selection of the colors and to water them," Romeo offers. He has helped him in art, perhaps he could return the favor in the garden.

"It would be my pleasure to help you, Romeo," he nods.

Holds his hand up to shake Caspian's. "Tell me which color would you like to grow first."

And he takes Romeo's hand in his for a firm clasp rather than a shake, if only because that's the sort of gesture Caspian is used to when making promises and oaths and other things.

"Red."

He kept the firm shake for a moment until he loosed the hand hold.

"May I ask if the red carnations have a significant place in your heart?" wonders Romeo. He's curious. "I love the white iris because they remind me to Juliet. That is the emblem of her family."

At that question he tilts his head. It's an obvious question to ask and he's not surprised that Romeo asked at all, but it's still surprising to hear.

"My mother favored them," Caspian nods with a faint smile, "irises are good flowers too."

"My mother favored lilies," Romeo says, recalling. Perhaps after the carnations, he should try those. "Red carnations are beautiful and long-lasting, I can see why she would."

He guides Caspian until the glass entrance, opening the door. "Please, come in. The building is almost empty inside. It's furnished, but without the flowers and plants, I think of it hollow."

"It is only waiting for you to fill it, and I know that you will do it well. A structure like this can't thrive without the care you plan to give it," he remarks while walking to the glass entrance with Romeo. Caspian nods once in thanks, stepping through the doorway.

Romeo is able to picture the bustling images of people and plants gathering together. "There are two sections in the building. I think this one should be for the flowers," he explains, guiding Caspian across the empty halls. "The next one for those who wish to work in the fields and get their nourishment."

"You are certainly on top of these plans, Romeo," Caspian says with an even brighter smile. He admires them because they speak of Romeo's ambition, strong but gentle in its firmness. Meanwhile he does look around the empty hall, noting the glass work and how they could probably host a good feast or two in here.

"Thank you, Caspian," Romeo says and means it. He's grateful to share his thoughts and dreams with a friend. He misses Benvolio. He has always been more reasonable and able to advice him wisely. "There are passages that aren't made of glass. I was thinking... um when my technique and skill improves to match yours to hang some of our paintings in the future with your permission and Master Marius' approval."

And to think, Tybalt of the House of Capulet has adopted him as a cousin.

But when he mentions the paintings, Caspian has to stop himself from pausing and crashing into this pillar here. He sort of stares at Romeo, unsure about this. Oh and he's also unsure about the matching skills thing.

"I don't know, Romeo. Do you not consider painting a little... private?"

He really means personal.

"It depends of what you paint, Caspian," Romeo answers, a bit blushing thinking about painting Juliet's smile and have that hung in his quarters for his eyes only. The first thing he wants to stare at when he wakes every morning is the image of her smiling face.

"If painting was only a private exercise, the world would be poorer without art and beauty. But that is a future proposal."

Oh well in that case! Caspian smiles, a little more relieved.

"I would be willing to paint something with you specifically for this place."

Romeo sees the smiles and explains: "My head travels in great highs, often, when I speak I talk about visions of the future and dreams that aren't real most of the time. It was embarrassing to realize the weight of my speech."

Caspian's proposal has his smile widened.

"That is what I would like! A cooperation between us to capture the beauty of nature and men mingling together here."

"I don't mind it at all, Romeo. It's comforting especially because dreams don't have to be something you can touch to be real," he offers with a nod.

"And it would be my pleasure to work with you on that too."

"We should speak with our tutor about this. He would offer insight in our task." Or he would be cryptically unhelpful.
