Well I do not think they are tied up completely. They seem to have at least one hand free each.

I speak from experience when I say that being tied together doesn't guarantee best friends.

They do not have to be best friends but a little civility can go a very long way.

I know I would if somebody was sitting there staring at me while I was tied up with somebody I couldn't stand.

I doubt he is there just to stare at them but I agree he should watch his hands.
