Having nothing to say to that he shakes his head, realizing that in addition to his presence not being exactly wanted--which he expects--it's not helpful to anyone either. The least he can do is tell someone where the Telmarine is. His first thought is the Pevensies of course and he sends a message on his network device to mention that one, Caspian X, is near the Underground, or was at whatever time it happens to be. Then he eyes the king, directly, not at all intimidated by him, even if he does not like him this way.

It's like looking at a stranger.

The way Zach looks at him doesn't go unnoticed. Even moreso is the fearlessness in it that Caspian detects, possibly admires were it used for something else besides what he believes is personal or emotional attachment. Such things are useless and lead only to being kept down by those more ambitious, those with backbone. Caspian X will not be like this kind of man. It's a shame, he thinks, that Zach uses his tenacity for such endeavors. In the end, where does it take him? What will Zach do when he is standing in the middle of his home in Odessa and there is no one left to say goodbye? He will not be this kind of man. Not anymore.

Caspian wishes his friend no such farewell.
