Lifting the palm of her hand to his nose, she is a bit gratified, even as Luna, when he pushes against it, nuzzling as much as horses do. Does he think she has food? Unfortunately she doesn't...oh but he is a very nice horse.

Dear King Caspian,
Be safe.
Sincerely,
Luna
It is in case he is not out, which he is not at the moment, not that she sees anyway, but to be fair she hasn't exactly looked very closely. If he is up on the porch, she would have yet to notice, rather occupied with the good Telmarine's horse, as she is. Toes curling inside her shoes, she briefly considers taking them off. They won't go anywhere, after all, not without her anyway.
among the fallen trees and fast asleep.
Date: 2008-12-16 09:02 am (UTC)That is what Caspian sees when he emerges with the blanket in his arms. She is underdressed--again--and briefly he thinks of draping her in the horse blanket instead.
"Luna," he says her name in greeting but also in question. Aren't. You. Cold. Caspian approaches Destrier's other side. He is glad to see that she's wearing shoes at least. "You know if you continue to visit improperly dressed for the weather won't your Professors blame me for not taking better care of my guest," he suggests, then adds, "or Destrier's guest"

No one he recognizes. Not even the beautiful pale-haired lady sitting by herself in the corner, as familiar as she seems. He doesn't know her. It must be a curse. Caspian moves to stand despite the sign that cautions travelers from standing while the car continues to travel quickly down an unknown tunnel to an unknown destination.

Date: 2009-01-07 03:45 am (UTC)Usually he detects people at his door by the sound of their voice, and in doing so he would determine if they have the privilege of disturbing him at any given time or not. In this home where it's just the five of them, the response is almost automatic. Caspian minds not a Pevensie at his door, almost never. And anyway he isn't doing anything particularly questionable, just working on that model Susan gave him for Christmas. Really Caspian should be trying to get a job. Ah well.

Date: 2009-01-15 07:44 am (UTC)Did they want to hurt each other? Well, at least hurt the person in front of them. Peter's current condition was just as confusing to her as it had been from the beginning. There was no doubt that behind that face it was her brother. How did this come to pass, and for what reason was not yet answered clearly. They all deserved time and answers. All at once would be far too overwhelming. Patience and understanding were required. Perhaps Caspian needed such a gentle reminder.
"Are you alright?" Already her lips are pursed to prevent herself from outwardly scowling at the Telmarine. Now that that is over with and the house is still, they can talk.

Date: 2009-01-15 07:54 am (UTC)"Yes, I will be fine," Caspian says. It isn't a lie in the purely physical sense. He isn't harmed and the High King didn't suffocate him enough to cause a black out. That would be most unforgivable. "I am sorry," you had to see that, but he keeps the last part to himself, knowing Susan has every right to have seen it unfold.

As for what he brought with him, well there was nothing except for a small box of those strange baked and cinnamon sugared things called churros. They were a foreign thing to him, but the Telmarine found he liked them very much.

Date: 2009-04-19 12:15 am (UTC)It's the opposite reason that has sent her to her room. It is that Edmund is gone, and it's the second time this has happened. The first time also took away Peter and Caspian and Lucy isn't sure that she can handle that, not when it's her birthday so soon.
And on top of it all, she's a little ashamed of how upset she is. Shouldn't she be happy for Edmund?
She sits on her bed, then, and plays with the stuffed lion that was given to her by Merlin, and tries not to think about it.

From:For i'm overwhelmed that you would call me friend
Date: 2009-05-25 08:51 pm (UTC)-
His latest encounter with the hair monster made Chuck even more eager to learn from Caspian. Feeling as helpless as he did then, was not something Chuck Bass wanted to experience. Ever. Again.
Still, he showed up later than he should, making sure he's not cursed took more time than usual. But they had a history that he didn't want to repeat anytime soon. Huh. Maybe his father was right. Maybe paranoia was necessary in life of a Bass.
When he got to the Academy, he saw Caspian practising on his own. Of course. That meant that the other man probably had no idea that Chuck was late. Briefly, he entertained a thought not to tell Caspian he arrived and simply watch his practice. But then, if someone (who's
name might or might not be Tony) asked how was Saturday's practice, "watching Caspian practice sworodplay" would not stand a chance in the "Chuck doesn't have a crush on Caspian" debate...
"Caspian," he greeted the other man.
-
He heard Chuck's voice first but continued with his form, swooping down to cut across with the edge of his sword then thrust it upward where in an opponent it would go through his heart, avoiding the breast plate all together, and exit out the space between his shoulder blades. Only if his sword could penetrate without lodging into the spin anyway. Then Caspian stopped to face Chuck.
"Hello. You're late."
Caspian smiled briefly. No you shouldn't have thought you could get away with it, Mr. Bass.
-
"I was hoping you wouldn't notice," he admitted without hesitation. "And I was making sure there are no curses around. I think I might be developing paranoia..." Just like that, his thoughts are out there in the open. Thankfully not all of them. He might find that he trusts
Caspian, but he's still not one to reveal everything right away. Or at all.
He smiled, aiming for appologetic. But he was never really good at that part.
-
"Awareness in any combat situation is important," Caspian said with a wave of his hand to Chuck. The gesture more or less said the same thing as 'keep that in mind next time' but he had no intention of testing the other man on the matter.
As for his other concern, well that was certainly valid. He nodded, conceding the point to Chuck as he sheathed his sword.
"That is fair enough. Curses or strange hair creatures," he added with a look around the hall. So far so good here, no weird monsters or people turning funny colors, etc.
-
At the mention of the hair monster, is hand traveled to his neck, rubbing the invisible now bruises. As soon as he realized he was doing it, again, he forced his hand down. He really should work on that new habit of his. It was embarassing, really.
He cleared his throat and made an effort to look casual. "How have you been Caspian?" he asked. Apart from mischivious, using other people's network IDs, and wasn't that yet another pleasant surprise.
-
Caspian noticed the gesture but with his skin clear he had no way of knowing the hairy creature had caused injury to Chuck. He had all the amazing intuitive willingness to ask thought. He tilted his head, eyes on the other man and particularly focusing on the way his hand settles.
"I have been well. Unharmed by the creature," he said which is sort of not true. It had attacked him and Cameron, but both had escaped unscathed. "And yourself?"
For i'm overwhelmed that you would call me friend
Date: 2009-05-25 08:52 pm (UTC)He walked to the bench and took of his jacket, folding it and putting it on the bench. Avoidance technique? Chuck Bass didn't do avoidance, he would never avoid a subject. But if he did... It would look a lot like that.
-
"But you came out of it uninjured, as far as I can see," Caspian said while brown eyes roamed over Chuck's form for any telltale signs of wounds. Having gone to battle himself he was more than capable of determining injuries hidden beneath clothing and the like. "Look if you're hurt I don't think we should practice, that is all," he added, attempting to sound without judgment on the matter.
-
"I'm okay," Chuck insisted. "It's been days. The bruises have faded and the ribs don't hurt at all... I"m fine, really." By now, Chuck has a lot of practice saying that. "I'm fine". It's still a surprise that he had to say it in a first place. Having people care for his well being is still something he's getting used to.
And he is fine, Caspia, really. If you don't count being slightly jumpy and not entirely comfortable being alone in his own apartment.
But that's to be expected, right?
-
"All right, if you insist. I want you to speak up if you do feel any pain while we're practicing," he said in a tone that was firmer than the last, "that is an order."
For that brief moment, Caspian exhibited a command as only a leader of a kingdom could. It was serious, well-intentioned for his sake, and spoken in a knowing manner, that most men would prefer not to admit injury because that implied weakness. Nonsense. To Caspian, carrying on when one was unable to physically was nothing short of inefficient and unhealthy. Best to cut that one off at the pass.
The moment didn't last long though. In a matter of seconds his smile returned.
-
Chuck nods at the order with a raised eyebrows. That tone is new... And of course he'd say is he was hurting during practice. Oh wait, no he wouldn't.IT might've been not the sane thing to do, or the most reasonable one, but...
"I can't let something like that happen again, Cas," Chuck said seriously, his voice quiet. He wasn't evven sure if Caspian heard him. "I can't rely on luck and people who might be nearby." He was not a helpless damsel in distress, damn it. He was Chuck Bass!
-
"It won't. Not if you are prepared," Caspian said with a tone more gentle than the last. He meant it too. "I am sure there are other means of self-defense you can learn but this one will always be reliable," he smiled again. "Any sturdy object with a strait will work as a sword," he nodded, drawing the training blade as he spoke.
-
"Or I could just try and defened myself with bad poetry," he joked, trying to lighten the mood somehow. "Which, I have to say, was an extremely entertaining prank," he added with a smile.
He took the training blade from Caspian and hesitated. "Let's go slow," he asked, pointedly not looking at Caspian.
-
"Were you impressed," Caspian asked as his smile turned into a grin. He felt rather proud of that prank. Ever since Edmund left someone else had to compensate for a minor lack of trickery in the Pevensie household. It made him miss the Just too, but no sense in dwelling on it. Edmund was where he needed to be, and if that turned out to be the City again they would know in a heartbeat.
"I will take things at the speed you believe you can endure," he said, eyes on Chuck and noticing the look wasn't reciprocated, but no matter. If Chuck wanted to talk he would.
-
So maybe he wasn't fine afterall, Chuck thought to himself as he sat on the bench, breathing heavily trying not to grimace as his body, ribs mostly, protested. He looked at Caspian and narrowed his eyes.
"You know, you could at least have a decency to try and pretend to be slightly tired..." he pointed out, though his tone wasn't mean. He doubted he had enough strenght to pull of sarcasm, let alone actually mean tone...
