Let it be known.

I, Caspian X, have accomplished a feat that many doubted could be accomplished by my hand at all.

It required two and a half days of my time.



This victory calls for a celebration.

Doctor House, I request your audience with the Pevensies and myself to mark this momentous occasion. If you are so inclined, perhaps you will bring with you tacos and taquitos. I am more than willing to make tamales however I regret to inform you that we do not have anymore carnitas. Will pollo con chile verde suffice? I hope that does not disappoint you. Do not worry, there will be enough ice cold horchata for both you and Eden. And the centerpiece? A piñata in your likeness.

But I understand you have a particular lameness and may not complete the journey to our fiesta. In that case, I hope you accept the gift I had delivered to you late this morning. Enjoy it, mi hombre.

Practical?

[That's one way of describing ice cream he's never heard before. Lick lick. That mint can't be as good as Peter's.]

It gets messy after a while. The ice cream melts, and the cone gets soft. It's a good idea in theory, but it's far from practical.

It's good. Messy, though.

A side that you haven't touched yet, or that hasn't entirely melted.

[Holding out his own cone. This is like a school lecture.]

If you were to try mine, I'd suggest the second scoop.

[While he's being lectured, Caspian takes a lick from Peter's cone. He doesn't even know if he licked a clean side, oops.]

[He moves the cone higher, mainly in surprise. Peter was still talking, gaw'.]

[He brings to cone back down. Better watch yourself, Caspian. Don't mess up the cone.]

[He says in a low voice. Awkward awkward situation, and it's in public! Or maybe Peter's over thinking the situation.]

[Overthinking it but Caspian wouldn't object to his overthinking. Nevertheless he takes the cone. Boy King now has two cones to his name. He licks off the mint.]

[Peter just stands there, tapping his foot. Sure he said take the cone, but he still wants one back. Sharing is caring.]

[He leans in, being taller and all, but just when it seems like he might steal a chaste peck he offers the mint cone to Peter.]

[Peter might have objected to that in public! But he takes the mint cone, with a slightly questioning glance.]

Why mint?

[Why the mint cone, or why did you choose mint? Maybe it's both questions. Green is not an acceptable answer.]

[Have a doubting stare over the top of the ice cream cone. Peter's got his lips on the top of a scoop, but he's not eating just yet. This cone has cooties.]

It's plain, and not overly sweet.

A comfort food?

[Caspian asks casually while helping himself to said plain and not overly sweet scoop.]

It could be considered a comfort food, but I don't find it particularly comforting. It's good on occasion, though.

[Finally taking a tentative lick of mint.]

It's not bad.
